Frequently Asked Questions:
Family Weekend is a time for families to connect with their student, VCU, and the Richmond community through a series of events planned with them in mind. It is a time to also connect with your RAMily - all the other students, families, faculty, and staff at VCU!
Family Weekend is for our entire RAMily! We welcome all students and anyone they consider to be family to spend the weekend with us!
VCU Family Weekend will be October 18-20, 2024.
No. We hope our Rams will bring as many people as they want to celebrate with us! Most events are first-come, first-served and have space limitations, so please arrive early to get a spot or ensure you provide an accurate headcount when registering for events that may require advanced registration.
You will register online for Family Weekend in the Ramily Connection Portal. Some special events will require a separate sign-up on various partner websites. These will be clearly indicated on the Family Weekend schedule. You must register for Family Weekend in the Ramily Connection Portal to access any Family Weekend event.
VCU Family Weekend events begin around noon on Friday and end in the afternoon on Sunday. Families may arrive at any time and should consult the schedule to determine when they would like to be on campus. Check-in will begin Friday afternoon and remain open through Saturday morning.
The current schedule of events can be accessed here. New events may be added and details might change. The final schedule of events will be published by September 6, 2024.
