Help shape the VCU Experience for Families
Purpose
Formed in 2019, the Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) Family Council is a volunteer advisory board of engaged and informed VCU family members who represent and serve VCU students, families and the University. The VCU Family Council guides VCU families toward increased support, understanding and enthusiasm for VCU and its mission.

Who Can Join?
We welcome parents and family members of current VCU undergraduate students who are eager to contribute, collaborate, and stay engaged with the university community. No prior experience needed -- just your passion and perspective!
What Do Council Members Do?
As a Council member you will:
- Attend 2-3 virtual/in-person meetings per year.
- Offer input on family programs and university initiatives.
- Support family engagement events (on-campus or remotely).
- Advocate for a strong family-university partnership.

The VCU Family Council is proud to support the VCU Family Fund which supports 4 priority areas for students: advocacy programs; emergency assistance; leadership programs; and the VCU Internship Funding Program.
