Apply for the VCU Family Council
The VCU Family Council is an advisory board that serves the VCU Family Association, VCU students, and the University. Any family member of a current VCU student is eligible to apply for membership. This Council is responsible for advising the university on family programs and services. It serves as a bridge between the Family Association and VCU administrators to address concerns of VCU parents and families.
The Council informs members of the VCU Family Association of University happenings and family resources. They also guide family members toward increased support, understanding and enthusiasm for VCU and its mission.
The VCU Family Council is governed by active family volunteers selected to serve based on an application. The council communicates via teleconference, e-mail, and at on-campus meetings during the academic year. These volunteers serve as ambassadors of the university during major events and are contributors to any fund they choose that provides support to students.

The VCU Family Council is proud to support the VCU Student Emergency Fund which assists students and families experiencing crisis. This fund helps students stay in school and graduate when faced with accidents, illness, death, fire damage or unexpected homelessness.
